Cymations is derived from "cymatium", the uppermost molding of a cornice or capital in classical ionic architecture. "Cyma" is Latin for wave. The cymatium is carved in the shape of an "S", with a convex carving at the top and a concave carving at the bottom resembling a vertical wave. It is often embellished with a repetitious egg-and-dart pattern.
Changes in software happen rapidly and constantly like waves of the ocean. A never-ending pattern of change. The egg-and-dart pattern is similar to a repeated set of binary digits, 1 and 0, such as 101010101, where 1 represents a "dart" and 0 an "egg". Keeping up with this endless wave of digital information requires a habit of learning. Cymations can help. We provide training for software designers to build on the next wave of change.
